The GKS Katowice Stadium (the exact name of the Municipal Stadium in Katowice) is administered by the Municipal Sports and Recreation Center in Katowice and is owned by the Katowice City Hall. It is very well connected thanks to its location not far from the A4 motorway and Drogowa Trasa Średnicowa, connecting the cities of the Silesian agglomeration. The location on the edge of the Ślaskiego Park - the green lungs of Silesia, in the oldest district of the city of Katowice - Dąb - despite the glory years behind it - creates a unique atmosphere for footballers and supporters participating in matches at the Stadium at ul. Beech.
The training base of the facility consists of:
stadium's main board, made of natural grass, with stands for 7,455 places, full-size side court with natural grass, non-dimensional side court with natural grass, cloakroom with full sanitary equipment (x5).
Everyday, Municipal Stadium objects are used for training and playing league games as part of football matches for the local team of GKS Katowice. Often in previous years, the stadium hosted national team A and youth representations of Poland.
